Traditional Thai Massage is deeply relaxing, rejuvenating and offers physical and mental well being. There is a constant flow of body contact between the practitioner and client while the body is stretched, rocked, compressed, pulled and cared for in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tensions. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement with the body of the recipient. In this process, joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned, and energy is balanced. Recipients remain clothed and sessions are practiced on a mat on the floor.
Chi Nei Tsang is a Taoist system of abdominal massage. The navel center is the center of our being along with an origination point of the facial system for the entire body. What this means is that anytensions from physical or emotional stresses can be unwound from the navel center out. Chi Nei Tsang is an interweaving of communications between the spirit body, the physical body, the emotional body and even the soul body encouraging rejuvenation, deeper peace and communication with our entire being and the unraveling of adhesions and tensions. Scheduling Chi Nei Tsang sessions are generally encouraged as a series of sessions as a huge element of this powerful work is the retraining of the body to unwind places of stagnation so the body can restore itself to homeostasis.
Shiatsu Massage creates a sense of relaxation and peace by using thumbs, fingers, elbows, knees and palms to concentrate pressure along the energy pathways called meridians in the body. Shiatsu improves blood circulation, lymphatic function, emotional well being, reduces muscle tension and fatigue along with creating an inner communication with the flow of energy inside of your body. Shiatsu is received wearing loose comfortable clothes and can be received on either a mat or a table.
Ashiatsu – “Ashi” in Japanese means “foot”. “Astu” means “pressure”. Ashiatus is an ancient practice which involves a massage therapist using their feet to knead and glide over the muscles of the body. Deeply relaxing the feet provide a soft wide surface to support the bodies overall healing and wellbeing by using long slow full body strokes along with a rooted connected pressure that only the feet can provide.
